The BC Canine ( K-9 ) Training Centre trains and
sells dogs for family and business protection, Schutzhund,
police K-9, and military work. It's trainers have extensive
experience in training dogs for police work, military use,
and personal security as well as domestic obedience training
to the general public. The centre is capable of providing
fully trained police dogs, and it trains the police handler
in concert with the dog.
When reviewing Canine (K-9) training facilities for your personal
and commercial needs, ensure that proper certificate licensing
is available. Many facilities claim they are certificate licensed,
but in fact, are not.

Course Descriptions
BASIC Security Patrol Dog Course - 30 hrs.……………………...

Gives students exposure to the basic training requirements and
legal issues involved with Security Patrol Dogs. Students will
have assigned reading, attend lectures, watch videos and be
involved in Hands On training with their dog.
INTERMEDIATE Security Patrol Dog Course - 45 hrs. ………
$2,850.00
Prepares the student and his dog for actual deployment as
a Patrol Dog Team. Students will attend lectures, watch videos,
complete assigned reading and train Hands On with their own
and other students dogs. This course contains scenario training
to prepare both dog and handler for situations they might
encounter on the street. Course includes Basic Security Patrol
Dog Course.
ADVANCED Security Patrol Dog Course - 60 hrs. …………….
$3,600.00
Prepares students to actually deploy as a fully trained Security
Patrol Dog Team. Emphasis is on Reality Training. Handler
and dog will be put in situations that challenge their training
and problem solving capabilities while stressing Public Safety.
Students will attend lectures and do Hands On training with
their own and other students dogs. Students will also be working
with their dogs on the obstacle course. Includes Basic and
Intermediate Security Patrol Dog courses.
LEVEL 1 Certified Dog Trainer - 70 hrs. ………………………..
$2,900.00
Introduction to Dog Training course gives the student exposure
to a wide variety of dog training disciplines including obedience,
agility and tracking. The student will have to absorb reading
material, videos, lectures and observe the actual training
of dogs for various types of work. Students will be expected
to train their own dog for basic obedience.
