Computer Forensics is a highly specialized field of investigation
which in essence provides Court Qualified Computer Experts
to Testify on a wide range of computer crimes or misuse including
but not limited to: THEFT OF TRADE SECRETS, THEFT OF OR DESTRUCTION
OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY and FRAUD. The methodology draws
on the computer forensic specialists' ability to DISCOVER
DATA THAT RESIDES IN THE COMPUTER SYSTEM or RECOVER DELETED,
ENCRYPTED or DAMAGED FILE INFORMATION. Any or all of this
information may help in determining faithfulness of employees,
industrial or commercial sabotage, covert system penetration,
Legal Discoveries and Depositions or actual Litigation or
Criminal Trials.
Steps taken by our Computer Forensics Experts when assigned
to "Identify and Attempt to Retrieve Possible Evidence
that May Exist on a particular Computer" are as follows:
- Protect the subject computer system during examination
from any possible alteration, damage, corruption or virus
introduction.
- Discover all files on the system including existing normal
files, deleted yet remaining files, hidden files, password-protected
files, and encrypted files.
- Recover all discovered deleted files.
- Reveal contents of hidden files as well as temporary or
swap files.
Access protected or encrypted files.
- Analyze all relevant data found in special and inaccessible
areas of a disk including "unallocated" space
as well as "slack" space.
- Print out an overall analyses as well as a listing of
all possibly relevant files and file data. Provide an opinion
as to System Layout, File Structures, Discovered data and
Authorship Information. Also any attempts to Hide, Delete,
protect, encrypt information as well as any other relevant
information found.
- Provide expert Consultation and/or Testimony as required.

Please Take Careful Note......
Private Investigation can detect criminal behavior including
fraudulent use of computers at home and in the workplace. Detectives
can investigate computer usage for both informal resolution
or criminal prosecution. Only a qualified expert would be able
to testify in court and be accepted as a Expert Witness. There
is little sense in paying for an investigation if the person
conducting it does not have the credentials and expertise to
be accepted in court as an Expert Witness. Computer forensic
background searches are not like personal background searches.
They must in many cases be "reconstructed" from deleted
material. Something only a qualified expert with the necessary
tools and software can do. Interglobe Investigation Services
Inc. has such experts.
