Computer crime is on the rise exponentially. Computers can
be used as effective tools or offensive weapons in the world
of information management.
Homeland Security and InterGlobe Investigations recognize
the need and the vulnerability of computers in today's world.
Information must be protected from interception, tracking,
theft and destruction by rogue elements.
We retain top corporate forensic experts - who have saved,
recovered and prevented breaches for our clients in a world
where many less qualified, in some cases unqualified, people
claim to be forensic experts.
Investigations
With ever increasing demands on Police resources and the limited
budgets they work within, it is recognized that many investigations
tend to "fall through the cracks". As a result many
companies and individuals find it necessary to take sufficient
evidence to police who have refused or neglected to take further
action.
- A mother living with 2 daughters was being harassed by
her former common-law Husband. He was currently on probation
for having assaulted and hospitalized her. He has a record
for manslaughter and rape and narcotics offenses and was
under a deportation order should he re-offend.. The client
had reported that she had just been chased at high speed
through town by her ex and he had tried to ram her vehicle.
She was terrified. At police headquarters she was told there
was nothing the police could do and she should seek a lawyer
to get a restraining order. They also told her to be very
careful of him because he is very dangerous and she should
stay in public places.
Several weeks late this man cut her telephone wires in the
middle of the night, smashed through the plate glass window
of the living room, murdered a female visitor with a shotgun
blast and blew the right shoulder off her 7 year old daughter.
When he could not locate the client he set the house on
fire and shot himself in the head with the shotgun.
Our investigation surfaced sufficient evidence of neglect
and cover-up on behalf of the police that we were able to
launch a law suit for substantial damages to the victims
..I
hope as a former policeman that this will prove to be more
the exception in police behavior rather than the rule
- Another client had been abused and beaten by her husband
for over 20 years and could not get police in several jurisdictions
to investigate. Each jurisdiction wanted the other to conduct
the investigation
..after all it is "only a domestic
situation". Our investigation on behalf of our client
surfaced ample evidence to immediately arrest for a Peace
Bond hearing under the criminal code and have charges of
assault and criminal harassment lain. He was convicted on
both counts in 2 separate trials. Whenever there is a money
component or property element raised to police by one of
the parties, often times police see this as the opportunity
to throw the threats back into the civil realm and out of
the criminal. These are strategies that we have found many
offenders are adept at injecting into their harassment.
Our experience with this allows us to conduct an investigation,
which addresses that aspect so as to eliminate that from
the criminal equation.
- Copyright and patent investigations we have successfully
investigated include such cases as fraudulent tea from Chinese
importers into a regional or global market. Another dealt
with the theft of product and the repackaging and sale as
other brands.
- Many situations require us to track the assets of individuals
or companies who try to avoid creditors or matrimonial disputes.
